This presentation will provide an introduction to climate science based on the principles of the U.S. Global Change Research Program’s Climate Literacy Framework and an overview of projected climate change effects based on the Third National Climate Assessment and state reports. Additional information will be provided on New York State programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for the effects of climate change, and suggestions for individual and community responses to the challenge of climate change.
