Thank you for planning your school visit to Alley Pond Environmental Center. School field trips are available from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Online bookings are open to grades K-5. If you are booking a Pre-K program, an Upper Grades program (6-12), or a special need class, please call our center at 718-229-4000 to book.

Lessons have been adapted to New York State Department of Education Core Curriculum Standards & Expectations. All programs will enhance MESH modules (Math, English, Science, Humanities) & broaden educational experiences.

2 Hour Workshop, $8.00 per student & $4.00 per parent chaperone (staff and paraprofessionals are free)
* Indoor Orientation: Introductions to APEC and a standard based lesson adapted to your group's grade level. Topic pre-selected by teacher
* Guided Interpretive Nature Walk
* Observe, touch and discuss similarities and differences among APEC's live animals
* Craft: Children will create artwork to complement workshop topic

Our location is 228-06 Northern Blvd., Douglaston, NY 11362. APEC is located just east of the Cross Island Parkway on Northern Blvd. in Northeast Queens. We're a one story green building with parking behind the Center.
