APEC’s Summer Exploration Nature Science Experience Series (S.E.N.S.E.S) Program

Expand your child’s summer experience with an exciting S.E.N.S.E.S. week-long program. New science themes each week! It makes SENSE to sign up for all 6 weeks! 

APEC Pioneers

Grades:  entering grades 4^th – 6^th

What time is it? SUMMERTIME! Let’s get down to business and celebrate the wonderful natural world with a fun camp experience. Our daily sessions will include physical and mental games, stem challenges, experiments, and literature, not to mention time with APEC’s many animal ambassadors, and hikes through our parks surrounding trails! These classes will hopefully inspire your children to assume APEC’s mission to advocate for sustainable environmental policies and practices! Participants must bring a bagged snack and a labeled water bottle (reusable preferred). Participants should have sunscreen and bug repellant applied prior to entering the Center. Masks are recommended for the indoor portion of the program.  Limited to 12 participants.

Week 1            July 11 – July 15          Biomes and Biodiversity

Explore the fascinating world of biomes and learn how they support the worlds’ vast array of species. Through experiments and games, we will even get to recreate some of the processes that give their environments their hallmark features! Lastly, we will see how their continued health affects us all.

S.E.N.S.E.S Program Fees and Policy

• $325 per week, per child
• $25 discount per week for early bird registrations (up to and including March 31^st, 2022)
• $20 discount per week if registering for all six weeks (call for discount code)
• $10 discount per week if registering for three or more weeks (call for discount code)

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• if cancelling after registration & at least one month prior to program start date, full refund will be issued, less $25 registration fee per week.

• if cancelling less than one month, no refund, no credit.
