Want to make honey mead like a Viking? This sweet-tasting drink has been consumed for centuries.  Join local beekeeper, hobby home brewer and co-founder of Astor Apiaries, Nick Hoefly, to learn the process of turning honey into mead. Come storm the castle and stop by our Medieval Selfie Station.  A brief discussion on the basics of simple home brewing will kick off the workshop and then participants will be able to experience honey and mead tasting. Following the tasting, Nick will demonstrate and prepare a gallon of mead starter and answer any questions. Students will leave with a handout outlining the information discussed in the class and some recipes. This class is geared toward beginner homebrewers with little to no experience brewing.  Medieval and Viking attire encouraged but not mandatory.  Limited to 15 participants. $15
