Ever wonder how your beautiful city came to be? Fuhgeddaboudit! On this nature-walk through Alley Pond Park, we will visit some of the geologic highlights that relay the past billion years of history of the city-pre-human settlement. Our journey will showcase how we went from a submerged New York swimming with ancient sea scorpions… to a volcanic region, ruled by early dinosaurs… to an icy state in which mammoths and mastodons once roamed. Hot chocolate and tea will be provided. Please dress warmly. Space is limited.
