As we get closer to the opening of NYC schools, we at APEC understand there are still a number of uncertainties. Whether your children will be remote, blended, or in-school learners, APEC will be offering educational lessons to enhance their science curriculum. Allow us the opportunity to introduce the wonders of nature and science to your children in a unique outdoor setting.
Science Pods – Grades 4th-6th
Scientists Throughout the Ages
Join Mr. Jacob for yet another hour-long science program experience! We will explore some scientists who revolutionized their fields or even created their own fields of study. Together through a series of fun kid-friendly experiments, we will strive to better understand their momentous achievements and contributions to the world of science.
We will learn about the findings of:
- Mary Anning who is widely regarded as the first female paleontologist.
- Nikola Tesla and his dozens of breakthroughs in the production, transmission and application of electric power.
- Charles Darwin- the father of evolutionary theory!
- Albert Einstein who is famous for devising his theory of relativity, which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the universe.
Engage in a safe, fun, and enriching educational environment. Limited to 12 participants. Dress for weather as nature hike is included. Children must wear mask for the entire program.
