Ages 8 and up (children must be accompanied by adult)
Walk through Alley Pond Park’s densely wooded dirt trails, accompanied by Nancy and Louis Tognan, members of Queens County Bird Club. Try to spot our various species of birds – both the year-round residents and the multitudes of warblers migrating through at this time. Listen for their songs. Learn to use binoculars and a field guide. Wear hiking shoes, sneakers, or other closed-toe shoes that you won’t mind getting muddy. Bring binoculars if you have them. This walk will cover some rough terrain and is not suitable for persons with limited mobility. Limited to 20 participants. FREE
