Summer is the perfect time to prepare for Pre-K! APEC provides an exciting educational experience for children preparing for preschool!  Classroom activities include science lessons and school readiness skills like letter recognition, numbers, counting and more! Live animal observation, outdoor activities, nature walks, and great children’s literature create an immersive learning environment. Students bring a nut-free lunch and drink to enjoy for the last 15 minutes of class. Lesson material will be different during each summer month, so your little one can spend the entire summer at APEC! Participants must be able to use the bathroom independently (No diaper or pull-ups). All students must wear masks for the entire program. Limited to 8 participants.

*If the class is full, please register for the wait list, just in case a spot opens. You will not be charged anything to register for the wait list. APEC will contact you if a spot becomes available.

Cancellation Policy
Missed or Cancelled Classes: No refunds or credits will be given for any missed programs. If APEC is notified within one week that the registrant cannot attend or if APEC cancels the program, a registration credit the amount of the class will be applied to you account to be used for future APEC program registration. Refunds will only be applied to multi-session programs if the spot is filled. If the spot in the program is not filled, a credit will be applied to your account. A $25 cancellation processing fee will be deducted from the total refunded or credited. Make-Up Policy: There are NO make-up classes for single session programs. A make-up session is only offered for children attending multi-session early childhood programs during the Fall, Winter or Spring. Only ONE make-up program is available, regardless of how many classes a child misses. At the start of the semester, parents will be given a handout with the make-up class date. In order to attend the make-up session, you must notify the Early Childhood Coordinator at (718) 229-4000 ext. 207 to sign up for the class. Notification is required so adequate staff and materials are prepared.
