Wee Sprouts

Ages 18-23 months, with one adult

 

Learn about the amazing world of animals with children’s books, songs, and games.  Each class will focus on a different animal or nature concept and include an observation of a live animal guest. (Touching of animals will not take place until further notice.) Outdoor nature walks (rain or shine) will be part of every class to help children make connections to the lesson and enjoy some fresh air.  Please note: All caregivers are required to wear a mask for the entire program.  One adult per child will be permitted in the classroom.  Siblings are not permitted to join the class, other than infants age 1 and younger. Limited to 6 adult/child pairs.

Cancellation Policy
Missed or Cancelled Classes: No refunds or credits will be given for any missed programs. If APEC is notified within one week that the registrant cannot attend or if APEC cancels the program, a registration credit the amount of the class will be applied to you account to be used for future APEC program registration. Refunds will only be applied to multi-session programs if the spot is filled. If the spot in the program is not filled, a credit will be applied to your account. A $25 cancellation processing fee will be deducted from the total refunded or credited. Make-Up Policy: There are NO make-up classes for single session programs. A make-up session is only offered for children attending multi-session early childhood programs during the Fall, Winter or Spring. Only ONE make-up program is available, regardless of how many classes a child misses. At the start of the semester, parents will be given a handout with the make-up class date. In order to attend the make-up session, you must notify the Early Childhood Coordinator at (718) 229-4000 ext. 207 to sign up for the class. Notification is required so adequate staff and materials are prepared.
