Wonderful Winter!

Fall Homeschool Group: Ages 5 - 6

Drop off

Time: 1pm - 2:30pm

It is winter but there is so much going on in nature! Our winter homeschool series is the perfect way for your child to learn about how the animal and plant world are adapting and surviving this time of year. Are the trees still alive? How do animals and birds get their food? We will explore the wonders of this season with informative lessons, fun activities and by observing nature on our beautiful trails.  Winter has been the inspiration for stories, poems, and art. Be sure to dress for an outdoor nature walk for every class! Limited to 10 students.  This program is intended to foster independence for your child.  Parents are not permitted in the classroom.  If your child is not ready for a drop-off program, please register for a future session.

Cancellation Policy
Missed or Cancelled Classes: No refunds or credits will be given for any missed programs. If APEC is notified within one week that the registrant cannot attend or if APEC cancels the program, a registration credit the amount of the class will be applied to you account to be used for future APEC program registration. Refunds will only be applied to multi-session programs if the spot is filled. If the spot in the program is not filled, a credit will be applied to your account. A $25 cancellation processing fee will be deducted from the total refunded or credited. Make-Up Policy: There are NO make-up classes for single session programs. A make-up session is only offered for children attending multi-session early childhood programs during the Fall, Winter or Spring. Only ONE make-up program is available, regardless of how many classes a child misses. At the start of the semester, parents will be given a handout with the make-up class date. In order to attend the make-up session, you must notify the Early Childhood Coordinator at (718) 229-4000 ext. 207 to sign up for the class. Notification is required so adequate staff and materials are prepared.
