Winter Solstice Walk at Sunrise

Winter solstice is officially the shortest day of the year. Join Jocelyn Perez, Herbalists Without Borders (HWB) NYC Queens Chapter Coordinator, naturalist, and conservationist, for this early morning walk as we welcome winter, watch the sunrise and take in beautiful morning views along Alley Pond Parks trails. Learn about the beliefs that surround the solstice, related folklore, and plant stories. Meet at the front entrance of APEC. Be sure to dress for the weather. ​Masks must be worn by all adults and children, 2 and up, for the entire program. Proof of vaccination is required for anyone 5 and up in order to enter our building. A matching ID will also be required for anyone 18 and up. Registration required. Spots are limited.
